Behind the Scenes
Building Saint Noir Studios
Inside the thinking behind our beauty and fashion spaces ahead of their October 2026 launch.
Saint Noir Studios began with a question: what kind of space do creative professionals actually need? Not a traditional photography studio, not a co-working space, not a beauty parlour — but something that draws from all of these and becomes its own thing.
The Thinking
The studios are designed around five verbs: shoot, create, sell, serve, launch. Each represents a different way the space might be used — a content shoot, a creative working day, a pop-up shop, a beauty service, a brand activation. The architecture had to support all of them without feeling like a compromise between them.
The Spaces
We are building two distinct studios — one oriented toward beauty, one toward fashion. They share a sensibility (warm, editorial, considered) but have different practical requirements. The Beauty Studio needs specific lighting, plumbing and treatment areas. The Fashion Studio needs rail space, changing areas and a different quality of light. Both need to feel like spaces where good work happens naturally.
The Design Philosophy
The design language is consistent with the wider Saint Noir aesthetic — warm neutrals, natural materials, clean lines, generous light. But a studio is a working space, not a showroom. Every surface, every fixture, every detail has to earn its place by being useful as well as beautiful. The goal is a space that feels inspiring the moment you walk in and disappears from your attention the moment you start working.
What Comes Next
As we approach the October 2026 launch, we are in the final stages of build-out. The images shown here are design visualisations — the spaces themselves are still taking shape. We will share real photography as the studios are completed. What we can say now is that the thinking is done, the direction is set, and the result will be a space that we believe fills a genuine gap in the market for creative and commercial hire.
